You should have a donation link so that PS2 players can support your efforts and possibly help you fund more developers to work on the website :)

Readability

Teek 11 years ago updated by Jake Wilson (Lead Developer) 9 years ago 3

Make the fraction colouring more transparent, or have an option for it,

Shrink the grid labels on the small scale (zoomed out) maps as they are the same size as an outpost and obscures them,

Answer

Making the Grid Label's change size on different zoom levels will potentially slow down how responsive the map is when you zoom in/out, but we will look into it.

We are planning on allowing the user to control the opacity of the faction colors.

Please update Indar to include the Lattice Link: Crown -> Crossroads.

I believe it was PU01 or 02 that brought a Lattice connection between The Crown and Crossroads Watchtower, it would be excellent if these maps reflected this change. =D

Show continent ownership

Torje Olsen 11 years ago updated by Jake Wilson (Lead Developer) 9 years ago 9

Similar to the ingame map, show which faction owns the continent/last conquered by

Answer

Unfortunately SOE's API does not yet give us this information.  But if they do in the near future we will definitely add it in.

Render a static continent image

Tim Bennett 11 years ago updated by Jake Wilson (Lead Developer) 9 years ago 2

I'd like to be able to grab http://ps2maps.com/briggs/indar.jpg as a map of the current territorial control, perhaps updated every couple of minutes. This would let me put the maps in things like desktop widgets that can't display a full webpage (e.g. Rainmeter).

If there was support for ?size=small (300px), ?size=large (900px) etc, that would be appreciated too.

Answer

Interesting idea.  I'll have to think about this one, as the current map isn't a single image but rather many image tiles with SVG polygons and map icons overlayed on it.

change "resecured" to "defended" like it is in game

In the territory log, you should change when the log says "NC resecured Pale Canyon Chemical" to "NC DEFENDED Pale Canyon Chemical"

Turrets

Corey Morrow 11 years ago updated by Jake Wilson (Lead Developer) 9 years ago 3

This might make it a bit cluttered but I think it'd be great if the maps had an added filter function to show Phalanx turrets (AP/AA/AI) and their arcs of fire (horizontal only of course)

Answer

We are planning on adding all turret locations.  However adding the horizontal ranges that turrets can rotate to might be difficult to match with what is in the game.  We will consider this.

Add printer-friendly map options

Daniel Colman 11 years ago updated by Jake Wilson (Lead Developer) 11 years ago 0

I've made my own print-outs with your data, but it'd be cool if the process was more straight forward and customisable rather than having to resort to print screen.

For example, you could have monochrome versions of the maps on a white background, or even create basic outlines of the continents with just the icons and hexes without the landscape detail, etc.

Answer

This is not something we have considered doing but we will look into it.
