Add empire specific text chat with password protected rooms.

hankey pankey 11 years ago updated by Jake Wilson (Lead Developer) 11 years ago 0

Add empire specific text chat to the map screen. Allow creating password protected rooms.

Chat rooms could be further integrated with the ability to draw or put markers on the map, so when someone joins a room he will see what people in that room drew on the map.

Answer

Chat rooms are most likely outside the scope of the project at the moment.  But being able to draw on the map and place icons (example: "TR Sunderer here") is definitely something we are planning.  The drawable maps will be completely protected in that the author can choose who he wants to see the maps as well as invite others to view/edit the map with him.

Sunderer no deploy zones

I think it would be very practical to be able to see the sunderer no-deploy zones, so you can plan the route, and where to deploy, in advance, before heading to the base.

Show territories being contested and who is winning

Larry Mitchell 11 years ago updated by Jake Wilson (Lead Developer) 11 years ago 0

Would like to be able to see at a glance which territories are about to be taken and which ones are about to be lost (if faction specific can be done).  Or if not, show a progress meter/bar/number for a faction capturing a territory.

Answer

This is currently not possible with the PlanetSide 2 API.  But if they add it to the API we will definitely implement it.

Add Alert notification.

Rob Dutkiewicz 11 years ago updated by Jake Wilson (Lead Developer) 10 years ago 2

It would be cool to show either just a simple indication that there is an ongoing alert on a continent if possible including the timer would be cool so we know how much longer the alert will last.

Answer

Unfortunately the PS2 API does not include information about alerts at this time.  If they ever add it though, ps2maps.com will add it as well.  Thanks for the suggestion!  Keep em coming!

We are definitely going to be adding in teleport locations.  Right now we are figuring out the best way to do this.

Terrible for my health and wellbeing

Marshall Fessey 11 years ago updated by Jake Wilson (Lead Developer) 11 years ago 0

Thanks to this website, I can no longer escape Planetside 2. I am tempted to indulge my near-addiction at all times, even when on the move. Must check Indar. Must plan tonight's session. Wait, did we just... Oh dear, they got The Crown. Huh? What? I was doing work?

I cannot escape. And for this, I thank you.

Answer

Mission Accomplished.

Possession timer

hankey pankey 11 years ago updated by Jake Wilson (Lead Developer) 11 years ago 2

Show an additional optional data layer, which shows for each hex how long it has been since it was last captured.

Answer

When you click on a territory, in the sidebar it shows how long it has been since the territory was last captured.
