Add Alert notification.
It would be cool to show either just a simple indication that there is an ongoing alert on a continent if possible including the timer would be cool so we know how much longer the alert will last.

Thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately the PlanetSide 2 API doesn't not have alert information in it yet. If/when they do add it, we will definitely add it to http://ps2maps.com
