Yes we are planning on doing this.  In fact we are going to create a global view type of page for each server, where you can see all the active territories for each continent, along with statistic like "What % of the territories each faction controls" and "How many of each type of resource each faction is currently getting on each continent"

Are you suggesting something like a newly changed territory changes to a different color than red/blue/purple and then fades to the appropriate red/blue/purple color?

That is a great idea and in fact it's something we are already working on for our next release, which should be done in a week or so!  Thanks!

That is a cool idea and it is something I've thought about before, but unfortunately it wouldn't work very well because of something called Orthographic vs Perspective Camera views.  The in-game camera is a Perspective Camera, which means there is a FOV and there are vanishing points that change depending on what angle you are looking at something.  This wouldn't work well for an overhead map image because the perspective would not line up for all the tiles.  Only the image tile/screenshot that is in the middle of the browser window would appear to have the correct perspective.  Tiles elsewhere (to the left/right or top/bottom of the browser) would not appear correct and not line-up correctly with the image tile in the middle of the screen.  It's a complicated subject that you are free to research, but overall it just wouldn't be feasible for a overhead mapping application.  I would love to have as much detail as possible on the map, but we are unfortunately limited to PS2's in-game map tiles.  But thanks for the suggestion!

I understand what you are saying about loading higher level tiles at in-between zoom sizes.  It's actually not as easy as it sounds but it's something I will look into for the future.  Thanks for the suggestion.

Unfortunately this would be a problem because on mobile devices and touchscreen tablets (iPads, Android tablets, etc), there is no such thing as "hover".  It would then be impossible for someone using an iPad to open the menu, since it requires a "mouse cursor" to hover over it.  Thanks for the suggestion though!  If you have any other ideas or feedback please let us know!

We are planning on adding all turret locations.  However adding the horizontal ranges that turrets can rotate to might be difficult to match with what is in the game.  We will consider this.
